Fragrance and Beauty

I have some plants

That rely on me.

Each one unique,

Brings joy and peace.

I nurture these plants

Each and every day.

I water and prune,

And take dead heads away.

They share their beauty,

Which I clearly see,

As they fragrance my room

So delicately.

The Universe knows

I’ll tend and take care,

But also knows

The barrenness there.

For I lack the love,

The drive and concern

To take such good care

Of myself in turn.
